Power Gel Scuff Grit
« on: November 17, 2018, 11:47:16 AM »
Does anyone know what grit Power Gel Scuff would equate to?  Would this be close to a 4000 grit surface?  Just ordered some but haven't received it yet.

Motiv power gel scuff is a Cleaner and scouring compound. Thats around 500-1000

Of course whatever your underlaying grit is will have a bearing on what your final grit would be.

My guess would be 3000. I apply mine on the back of a used abralon pad using just moderate pressure on a spinner on my Octane Carbon. Works really well on wet/dry conditions for me.

I love using it to clean up balls I keep dull. By hand with really light pressure it seems to be close to 1000. Heavier pressure will take the grit higher

It's pretty course stuff, I would say 2000K

Don't forget the wash the ball off with cleaner after using scuff.
IMO it's clogs the pores after use. Well at least if your balls skates down lane clean it again.

I agree about cleaning with regular cleaner after using scuff.

I would say close to 1000 or 1500 by hand as well. With a spinner it seems to be shinier.  Maybe 2000 or 3000.
