Primal Rage
« on: December 10, 2013, 02:36:00 PM »
I just purchased a Primal Rage to give a little extra over the light-medium balls I currently use. Love my GT-1, but it's starting to fracture around the fingers so I thought if I'm going to get a new ball, I might try something stronger. Hope I made a good decision. I love Motiv equipment.

Thanks guys! I haven't looked forward to a ball in a long time, as much as I am the Primal Rage.

I've noticed that with all the Motiv line. It's not like Storm, but there is a smell that is unique to Motiv about them.

Whiplash Solid, Pearl and Hybrid as well as Fusion Pearl have a distinctive odor.  The other covers didn't as far as my experience can tell or remember.  Interesting that the Whiplash and Fusion are much stronger covers than the others that didn't have a smell to them.   ;)

Anne Marie Duggan drilled my Thrash Frenzy yesterday and I didn't/haven't noticed any smell to it. Went to lanes in a different house today where I bowl to try it out and all 40 lanes were filled with X-Mas parties, so I didn't get to try it.

I think it was the 2 Cruel that was the first one, and all the balls with the Cover that is on the rage (Fusion Pearl?) so the (Sting, Tribal, Cruel Intent) all have an orange cleaner smell to them. I know a guy that does some testing and is on staff and he said it isn't an intentional thing to have the balls smell, just was a side effect when developing the cover stock.
