Because of my high axis rotation, low revs, and left side ice, I have always done better with very low Rg equipment with high differential. For these reasons, I have wanted a P7 Raptor since they were introduced, and want to pull the trigger on getting one while they are still available. After reading another thread I was introduced to the Motiv ball guide, which seems to indicate that the P7 is a delayed hook ball. I find very strange for a low RG high differential ball. The very last thing I need is a delayed hook reaction given the statistics I mentioned earlier. Now I'm afraid to get the P7. There is always the potential of getting a Talon, but I'm not hearing as much good on it as I am about the original Raptor, plus closeout pricing is certainly attractive.
Can anyone explain the delayed hook rating for such a low RG ball, and provide feedback on the suitability of the original Raptor for my style?
Thanks in advance for your feedback.
