My experience with motiv balls tells me they are all about control. I am currently drilling up my second motiv (an SR2, already have GT1). Too many of the balls out today produce that big hockey stick type hook. For the conditions I bowl on, which are mostly tournament conditions, that is NOT a good reaction to have. My GT1 gives my a smooth arc with just a little pop. If your used to seeing that big boomerang hook, then the TX1 reaction may make it appear that the ball is not doing anything. Any chance you could post a video so we can see whats happening? Also, if you can, throw another ball so we have something to compare the TX1 to.

No worries about Ticking us off you are not the first to say the things you have about the TX1.

The TX1 and Sx1 both have weaker covers or low absorption covers.  These where the first 2 balls that Motiv came out with.  I have found for me drilling them for heavy wrist/high speed /cranker players these work great for.  I have re drilled my TX1 with a closer pin to pap distance to pick up the roll sooner with a little surface.  My opinion these balls are great for playing up the boards with a control arcy motion.  Nothing fancy off the spot but crushes the pins.

The newer Motiv stuff has more aggressive covers on them and still great pin carry.  Hope this helps

I shot 802 with my TX1, but I rarely use it.  I use mostly the SR2 now...  I think I would rank them in order of use currently for me...  But I love the smooth reaction I get out of the TX1, I just don't use it much anymore.

1) SR2
2) QZ1 red
3) GT1
4) TR2
5) SX1
6) TX1
