Title: trident vs ghost
Post by: rico4life on September 13, 2017, 08:30:26 PM
I love my jackal ghost, just picked up a used trident. I wondered if someone has thrown both and what difference did you see. I was thinking of keeping the trident fairly shiny as a compliment to the ghost. The drillings are very similar but not exact.

I haven't thrown either, but the Trident is going to be cleaner and more off the spot than the Ghost, all things the same.

Trident is also more versatile of the two...

Ghost is the max ball from Motiv right now and trying to do anything to it other than allowing it to be a monster is the equivalent of trying to nail a square peg into a round hole....just doesn't fit or make sense.

Trident is cleaner as it is a Hybrid and the core is a touch higher RG and as said earlier, is cleaner because of those 2 items with everything else the same.

When the PBA was in town for a regional event I watched EJ toss the Trident on Badger all day long...fresh, breakdown, burn, and the ball was able to turn the corner all day (but not like nothing else would for him).

The Trident is a good compliment to the Ghost as a ball down

I have both and the Ghost is way earlier. The Trident for me is something a can open the lanes up with and still have decent carry. I would not be afraid to try the Trident with polish or a little surface.

Hi. I have not thrown them, but a friend of mine has used both, and the Ghost is an excellent oiler, with the Trident being that "ball down" just like the others have said. Very strong asymmetrical 1-2 punch there.
