Interested to see a comparison video between this one and the Primal Fear because honestly, the Fear didn't end up being as angular as the Rage was. The fear already kinda rolls off the spot compared to some of the flippy balls on the market today.
-
Looks like they are going with a polished finish for this. Interesting. If the Primal Fear is rounder than expected then there might be a good amount of overlap here. Will be nice to finally see what a more angular Revolt can do though.
-
If your Fear isn't flipping, it's probably drilled wrong. Mine wasn't flipping. Heck, it wasn't doing anything. Then I had it plugged and redrilled, and now it flips great. Shot 711 with my Fear on Monday.
The only problem I have with my Fear now is that the pro-shop plugged it with black plug and looks very ugly. I wish he would have at least used red.
-
If the United Revolt is called 100% pearl, that doesn't necessarily mean it will be close to the Primal Fear. I feel Motiv may eventually get rid of a solid/hybrid/pearl designation since it means nothing.
I feel the United Revolt will fit squarely between the Revolt Havoc and the Primal Fear. Right now that is a pretty big gap.

KEY SELLING POINTS
• The United Revolt is the first pearl ever
offered by MOTIV in the Revolt line and it delivers impressive performance on medium-heavy
oil. Utilizing new Helix HFP Reactive technology for the cover and the low RG Vanquish core, the
United Revolt provides length yet reads the oil transition incredibly well to give bowlers a strong
backend motion that is highly consistent.
• The new Helix HFP (High Friction Pearl) Reactive cover stock is specifically engineered to
compliment the Vanquish core and give the United Revolt outstanding motion down lane with
devastating continuation. To provide more length and a faster response to friction, the pearl
shell is tuned with a 5000 Grit LSP finish.
• The Vanquish core continues to be used in the Revolt line for medium-heavy oil because it has a
low RG and enormous differential. The 15# model has a 2.47 RG and .056 differential. This
enables the United Revolt to provide plenty of track flare and easy revs, which create more
friction and hook potential.
• The United Revolt is not only a great compliment to the Primal Fear, but is also the perfect ball
to move down to when the Trident begins to produce too much friction.

One of my distributors now has the Havoc on clearance...

One of my distributors now has the Havoc on clearance...
Not surprised. The GT is pretty close to the Havoc. I just find it odd (if true) they would add the United and get rid of another ball in the same line. I could have even seen Motiv not remove any balls from the line up since it was apparent there was a gap in the Revolt line.
-
If the Havoc goes, I will be sad!! We had a lot of nice games together!!! I love the way that it rolls off the pattern!

Took it took a wood house I never bowled in before and it was very angular. The ball really impresses me with how much it moves every time I pull it out. I should probably give it more lane time. I've just been enjoying my Code Black look-aid a lot lately and it got shadowed quickly.
Makes me want to try this new Revolt or something else Motiv. Just not seeing gaps in my current arsenal...that catch 22.

I will be very interested in how this ball will compare to the Revolt Vengeance.
My Vengeance is still almost like new and with the same core, the United might be too close to what I have to justify.
