Tackett was throwing the new Pride this past weekend, but the new Sniper was unknown to me.

...as a side note, while bowling my weekly PBA league(Currently Mark Roth pattern) last night, I was using my Pride and thought, 'shouldn't this ball be rainbow colored?'

I pointed this out in the "Venom Purple/Orange?" last week.

Bowlersmart's priority is to be first, not to be accurate, so in their rush to be first online they don't always have their "facts" straight.  Look at how wrong they were about the Blue Tank, they had it listed as a urethane with the Flux core when anyone with just a little info knew it was MCP with the Halogen core.

I haven't had a chance to see an Empire box yet but will report when I do.

Well we are allowed to discuss these new ones, generic details below.

Pride Empire
Cover:Propulsion Pearl (new cover)
Core:Dominion
Finish:4500 LSS (note, not polished OOB, LSS=laser scanned sanded)

Laser Sniper
Cover: TruShot Polythane
Core: Hollow Point
Finish: 5500 LSP

Both due out 7/13

I have not drilled mine yet but will this week, the Empire is at a sanded box finish to be closer in shape to the original Pride, but with some polish is supposed to be pretty sharp, been told to expect a very usable pearl motion, earlier and stronger overall than the Ripcord Velocity, and more round compared to the Iron Forge.

Not trying to be offensive, but Motiv listing their "out of box" finish is laughable at best.

I wonder if the sanded pearl thing piggybacks on Storm's "no factory polished pearls" policy of if there is another reason?

It's interesting all the materials on the Pride Empire originally had it as a polished finish, so it was a last minute audible to change the surface to a very finely sanded finish OOB.

On the Pride Empire, this is definitely the first rolly pearl (at least in box finish) that Motiv has put out in a while, it starts up earlier than my Mythic and is a more archy through the breakpoint, and that's comparing to a Mythic that i took the shine off. I'll be taking some video as time permits the next week or two, here was just a few shots right after I drilled it on some 41ft mystery pattern

No kidding.  Don't know why they can't simply list 4000 or 4000 + polish.  Listing the laser scanned equivalent is literally pointless.
