Condition: 2011 EBT Masters Long
Drilling: Pin under the bridge, Cg to the right 1/2 inch.
Backdraft is the other ball in the video at the 1:16 and 1:21 mark. Backdraft has same drilling.
Thoughts on the ball: The Venom Strike is a lot of ball for the price. The colors stand out going down the lane or just sitting on the rack. It covers a wider range of lane conditions than I thought it would.
Performance of the ball: I drilled this one pin down thinking that it would be used on patterns that allow you to play a tighter line by the gutter. It did allow me to do this but I am finding out that I can do so much more with it. I was shocked that I was able to move inside on a very long pattern and still be able to have such a high carry percentage with it. I usually find that pin down balls stop striking for me once I move left of third arrow.
I have been able to throw this ball a bit more since the video was done. I can throw the Venom Strike on most patterns other than the extreme dry or extreme oil and still have the ball perform for me. I will say that so far with the pin down I have found that it works best for me with angles that are tighter which is fine for me as the Primal Scream works best for me with angles that allow me to throw it to the right. Thanks again to Mike for his help of getting this video done.
