So I've recently picked up a Primal Rage and Tribal. I love them both enough to want to add another Motiv to the mix. At some point I will add the Raptor Talon to get something above the Rage when I run into that real heavy stuff.

That being said, I'm thinking about adding the Venom Toxin now. My Rage is drilled pretty strong, 4 1/2 pin to PAP, pin up, and it gives me pretty good length and a nice hard arcing motion on the backend. The Tribal was just a 1.5 ish pin so I had to go pin under, and its about 4 3/4 from my PAP.  With that I get less overall but actually a similar motion, easy length, hard arcing backend.

     Thinking of going pin over 4 3/4-5 from my PAP on the Toxin. What do you guys think? What would I see? Would there be some overlap? Is there a better choice in the lineup? Don't know how close the Toxin and Tribal are. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Actually if I had to describe the shot at the house I bowl on most I would say its on the heavy side of medium, and the shot for most part stays where its at through the night. It doesn't change much except for maybe a little carrydown reducing the backend a little bit. Because of the heavyish volume, and it being 41 feet, I don't think the ascent will see enough play to even warrant picking one up.

How different are the toxin and tribal for those who have thrown both?

How about this, if I were going one above both, and one below both, what do you think? I'm leaning toward 2cruel above and toxin below. Thoughts?

I actually couln't wait, and drilled up the Toxin. Pretty much what I expected. Very similar line as the Tribal, you're right, about 2 boards more on the Toxin. A little more even than the Tribal too.

I'm not getting a ton of flare on the Toxin, however. It's drilled pin up about 4 1/2 pin to PAP, and there's only about 1/8" between flare lines. I'm pretty happy with the reaction, but if i could change anything I was hoping for a little more recovery than what I'm getting. Do you think a flare increasing hole, maybe P2.5- P3, would help that? Kick up the flare a bit and give me a little more reaction overall? including recovery.
