Hi All - Finished the 2022 Michigan State Tournament. Doubles and Singles at Westland Bowl and Singles at Merri Bowl. Both bowling centers look very clean and well maintained. But both have limited areas for seating, bowling gear and spectators. During D & S, one person shot a 300. Not my pair. Six bowlers to a pair with one lane courtesy moves really fast. Be prepared. The best shot that I saw was a slight out and back curve trajectory with a firm quality wrist rotation. No further right than 5 at the break point. Down and in, break point 10 to 5, shot was manageable. Down and in between 10 and 20 was not great! I used the NOVA for all 6 games. With handicap I shot two 700 series. Approaches were ok! Did not need a slip / slide aid. Merri Bowl - The approaches were a little Tacky. In my warm ups I really did not notice how tacky the slide area was going to develop into. Particularly games 2 and 3. Similar shot routine as Westland. But, games 2 and 3 blew up with the shot going crazy. Some of our guys went to Urethane with no great success. Spare shots were in demand. Hope this helps - Coach Denny
