I know that Willowbrook Lanes has a Friday night men's league. My dad and best friend bowl in it this year. Broadview Bowl also has a solid Friday night league. I believe it's called Lane 1 Friday night men's, or something like that. A bunch of guys I used to bowl with are out there.

If you are in Joliet, you may also want to look at the following centers:

Orland Bowl
Thunder Bowl (Just off LaGrange Rd. (Rt. 45) by I-80.
Pioneer Lanes (Located off Rt. 30 in Plainfield; an old friend of mine owns it)
Centennial Lanes (Tinley Park)
Strike & Spare I & II (One is in Lockport, the other is in New Lenox or something like that)
Brunswick Zone Woodridge (Located on 75th St. just south of I-355)
Brunswick Zone (there's a new one just off I-55 on Weber Rd.; I'm not sure what they're calling it, but it looks huge).

I'm not sure what any of these places offer on Friday nights, but all of the centers are close in proximity to you, so it's at least worth making a phone call. I hope the list helps.

I wouldn't reccomed broadview unless you want to bowl inside of a bank!

Its being demolished in June.

The friday league was very good, we ended up moving to Eden Lanes, just down cermack.

Damn, Broadview is going down now too? I hadn't heard about that. Most of the guys in the Friday league there were transplants from Berwyn Bowl after it closed. There are way too many Chicago-area centers closing down.

I would not recommend Centennial on Friday.  They started the season off with a tougher than normal house shot.  After 5-6 weeks guess what shot became ridiculously easy.  It was unfotunate it happened since the league dictated the shot would never change.

In the end it is your decision where to bowl on Friday next year.  I am just giving you some feedback from my experience.  Other than that it is not a bad place to bowl at.

htotheizzo3561 what would be fantastic if they made the Sunday Morning Scratch league they are talking about a PBA Experience Scratch League.  Each week the pattern is posted and everyone is well aware of what they will be bowling on.  That way no one can have any doubts what type of shot they are bowling on.  If that were to happen I may continue to bowl instead of walk away from the game like I intend to after this year.

But as we have both stated something will change since MOST bowlers do not want to be challenged.  MOST bowlers want to see their equipment skid down the lane 42 feet then make a direct left into the pocket with no regards to proper bowling technique.

Thanks loukey

We currently bowl at AMF Bolingbrook on Fridays. The $$$ is pretty good out there we currently are at 26 teams. 1st place is $8000 + $$$ where you finish each half. It sounds like 1/2 league is leaving after this year and one of the guys I bowl with use to be the manager there until he bought Comet Lanes in Cresthill and he wants out of AMF after working there for 10 years. So we're looking go else where. When I see the guys tonight I'll see what they think.
