There are two Boot Hill Scratch Tournaments coming up the next two weekends. Please note that the locations and starting times are different for each tournament.
 
The first is on Sunday, March 21 beginning at 5 p.m. at Stardust Bowl, 37 Lorraine Avenue in Addison, IL.  Entry fee is $60.  One in four will cash.  The first three prizes are all guaranteed:  $1,000 for first, $500 for second and $250 for third.
 
The second is on Sunday, March 28 beginning at 1 p.m. at Fox Bowl, 1101 E. Butterfield Rd in Wheaton, IL.  Entry fee is $60. One in four will cash.  Thre first three prizes are all guaranteed:  $1,000 for first, $500 for second and $250 for third.
 
Both tournaments will be contested on the same oiling pattern, 37feet, with about 26.19 mls. of oil. There will be a little more blend than usual. This will give you an idea of how the same pattern plays on a wood surface compared to a synthetic surface.
 
One more point. If you bowl the tournament at Stardust and do not cash, you will get $5 off your entry at Fox for the March 28th tournament.
 
Another reminder to mark your calendars for the 23rd Annual Grand Boot Hill Weekend on June 11-13, 2010.  This year's event will be held at Fox Bowl and there will be a lot of other changes including a first place prize of $20,000 for the Grand Boot Hill.  Brochures will be available in April.
