Boot Hill Results
« on: March 21, 2007, 01:35:37 AM »
Here are the Boot Hill results from March 18th. Because we had only 24 lanes available for use we only had room for 72 bowlers and actually had to turn bowlers away

Keith Garrett       199 $1000
Bob Bitunjac        197 $500
Frank Bartaleone    189 $250

Cut scores
1st round 3 games 536
2nd round 2 games 370
3rd round 1 game  185
4th round 1 game  170
5th round 1 game  166

The oiling pattern used was a flat 40 foot pattern.

I think the cut scores are a testament to how tough of a pattern this really was.  Everyone should bowl one of Woody's tournaments at least once, it's quite a humbling experience.

You're right Jeff, the conditions are humbling, but only because bowlers are not use to bowling on real conditions. Our tournaments are for the bowler who is serious about trying to improve his game. The USBC came out with their "sport condition" a few years ago. We've been doing this for 20 years now. If the turnout was any indication, maybe some bowlers are beginning to take the game seriouly again. Thanks for participating.

Woody's tournaments are the best around and will humble anyone. For someone who is a young up and comer I would recomend bowling all his events, the experience will help down the road.Hopefully he has a good turnout at the Grand Boot Hill in May.
