2007 ELGIN LANES NO-TAP
22nd ANNUAL TOURNAMENT

I'm running a squad on opening day, first squad as I have for the past 3 years:

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 3rd, 12:00 pm
Check-in 30 Minutes BEFORE Start of Squad

3 GAMES ACROSS 6 LANES -- SCRATCH, NO HANDICAP
Individual Scores Only, No Doubles

3 DIVISIONS: Open Division - 150 Average or under (2005-06 Book) - Women's Division

Entry Fee is $25.00 (prepaid) $30.00 (Walk-in)

First Prize: $2,100
2nd Prize: $1,000

PBA & Regional Professionals NOT allowed.
This tournament is for amateurs only.

How many bowlers can you take on the squad, and do you need confirmations? Elgin is about an hour to an hour and half north of me, so I'm not 100% sure I can make it, but it's something I'll keep in mind.

A couple of questions, too: What type of pattern are they putting out? Where in Elgin is this place? I've bowled at the center formerly known as Espo's a few times. Is this place close to there?

Gene,
I normally have 16-20 bowlers. Right now I have about 10...It's basically a get-together of bowlers out of various houses (Elk Grove, Hillside, etc.). I have quite a few maybes.

If you want I can put you on the squad, you can pay as a walk-in...will cost $30, instead of $25.

Elgin Lanes are located off of Rte. 20 and MacClean Blvd. You can always Mapquest or call the center for specific directions. Don't know if it's near Espo's or not.

The shot is normally inside w/OOB at about 10 for most bowlers. If you have more hand you can play deep. Outside works with urethane w/speed. I'm a lefty, what do I know?

Duke...Thanks for making me aware of this tournament...I live about an hour away from there and I'll be making a trip out there before it's over. Sorry I can't go this weekend though.
