I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and a happy new year! To kick the year off right, after a successful first year, the Arlington Open Scratch Tournament is returning for its second year, with many improvements, including a huge boost in our prize fund! Last year we guaranteed $1,750 amongst 1st through 3rd. This year, we will be guaranteeing $3,980 amongst the top 21 finishes, with $1500 going to 1st! Again, this is ALL GUARANTEED, and will be paid REGARDLESS OF ENTRIES!!! Another change is there will be two qualifying squads the day of the tournament, the first at 10am, the second at 12 noon. Also, the 3 game qualifier scores will carry over to the semi-finals. After both qualifying squads have completed, the 21 semi-finalists will all be GUARANTEED to cash!!

Fees:
1st squad: $60 pre pay/$70 day of
2nd squad: $70 day of/$50 re-bowl
Format:
Bowlers will complete a 3 game qualifier across 3 pairs. Lane assignments will be selected at random. The top 2 prepaid finishes from the 1st squad will AUTOMATICALLY ADVANCE to the semi-finals. The remaining 19 spots will be filled amongst the highest 3 game scores from the combined squads. Brackets will be ran for both qualifying squads. Payouts will be $25 for 1st and $10 for 2nd. The semi-finals will consist of an additional 2 games played across 2 pairs, with 3 bowlers to a pair. After the semi-final has completed the top five 5 game combined scores will be seeded into a 5 bowler stepladder final conducted on a single pair of lanes. Top seed of each match will have choice of starting lane, bowling pba style. Any ties at anytime in the tournament will be settled with a one ball roll off.
