I have to say, for those of us around Chicago that are looking to bowl scratch, but (for whatever reason) don't want to bowl Woody Demma's stuff, look into Illinois Bowling Tournaments. There was one run over the weekend at Poplar Creek, and it was very impressive. The shot was Chameleon, and 40 people showed up. 6 games of qualifying then top 10 cashed, and top 5 bowled match play. I will be broadcasting any tournaments of his that he puts together, for those of us that want to actually shoe up and try to bring our best.
Oh, to cash, you had to be +0. Not too bad.

Jerry is trying his best to get stuff to bowl. I would've been there, but I was coming back from St. Louis Area and didn't get home until 4. My fiance was there, but she didn't bowl too well: -60 or something like that.

Yeah, too bad I was out of the cut by 7 pins. Lesson learned... make your stupid spares. :P

So... far... away. But thanks, Jeff!

Why didn't you give me a heads up?
I would like to try that one day. What was the entree fee?

$50, it was fun. Check out the Shark pattern one I just posted. Coming up in July.

Anywhere but that center. I'd rather bowl at River Rand than that place.

Obviously you've never bowled at Rolling Lanes. :p

I have heard about that place. A guy I know at work bowls at Rolling Lanes.
It keeps his average low.

How about funway?

How about funway?
I bowled a few games at Funway, just practice and to check the place out.
It seemed not to have to much backend, but with the correct equipment its playable. Not easy but playable.

We travel almost 3 hours to bowl Jeff's tournaments. They are professionally run, payout is good, and the competition is tough. You should also check out Stardust Bowl 3 in Dyer, Indiana. They have KOH on Friday nights for $25. Tough competition and lane conditions, with a good payout.
