Title: Indiana Mens state
Post by: irishfan on February 09, 2010, 07:47:02 AM
I am bowling in the Mens state tournament in Evansville next month and am not sure of how the oil pattern is layed out.  The website is
http://www.indianausbc.org/10YR/2010%20Indiana%20Open%20Championships%20Team%20Event%20White%204%20Roller%20010110.pdf

They give the exact layout of the pattern by the numbers but I am not sure how the pattern will play and how to prepare for it.  Any help is appreciated.

anybody have any info about how state is going and the lane conditions?  I have never bowled in either of the Evansville houses so I don't know how they are.  Any information I would appreciate.

Evansville is probably one of the eaiest shots in the state it will take at least 825 to win singles

Easier than last year?  That''s pretty hard to top.  I shot 300 at Camelot the first game I ever bowled there.

BTW the oil pattern looks like a standard house shot.  I''m not bowling it this year, so that''s just my guess as a former laneman.

Just got back last night. The shot for team which was at the house with 20 lanes can't remember the name, It was a usbc White shot.  I was able to play pretty straight with my invasion on it for 2 games then it opened up on the 3rd and I was able to swing the invasion. Nothing too wild as there was a 300 shot during our shift.  Then at ARC lanes the other house they had 95 units for 20 feet then 33 units to 38 ft.  I was able to swing the invasion a little off the bat since the backends were snappy. But fairly quickly it carried down and I went back to playing pretty much straight up for the rest of the 1st shift(singles) For doubles it started to open up in the 2nd game and by then I needed to go to my hyroad and was able to open up the whole lane.  Hope that helps.
