Lombard Lanes About to Close?

Last year we all heard about the rumor that Lowes was buying them out, but was later learned that the deal fell through.

Well for the past three weeks, I've heard two different stories from a lot of people.  

Story one:

Lombard starting next year is going to a all open play center, eliminating leagues and the sunday king of the hill.

Story two:

Lombard as early as January 1, 2007 is closing!


Anybody have insight as to which is correct?
Lombard Lanes is in Lombard, IL on Roosevelt Rd.

You have to watch what you say about Lombard.
I posted the same thing last year, and was threatened with a lawsuit.

That's exactly whay I did....Someone on here, contacted management/owner, and I was threatened with a lawsuit if I didn't post a public apology, which I did.

I'm not in the loop with Lombard or those affiliated with the center, so I don't know if any of this is true. Still, it seems likely that something is afoot. These rumors have been popping up on a monthly basis for the past year and a half. Only time will tell, but nothing would surprise me at this point. Could the ABT Chicagoland Open have a new home? Like Rick said, stay tuned.
