Entry fee + NIB plastic ball drilled and ready to go $110. * Bowling ball orders are subject to certain restrictions and must be made in advance. Prize Fund (Based on a full field of 64 bowlers)
1st: $750
2nd: $400
3rd -4th: $250
5th-8th: $100
9th-16th: $75
The cashing ratio will be no worse than 1 out of 4. Last year, funds generated by sponsorship donations allowed the prize fund to grow considerably and for more places to be paid. We are in the process of seeking sponsorship again this year, so there is a strong possibility that this year's fund will increase from that which is advertised as well.
Just a reminder: Only plastic equipment will be allowed for this event. Any plastic bowling ball that is ABC approved will be legal. Drillings must also meet all ABC requirements. Balls will be checked before semifinal competition begins. The use of illegal equipment will result in disqualification and forfeiture of entry fees. Coverstock alterations are allowed before tournament play begins, but is FORBIDDEN after the first ball for score is thrown.
Reservations: Verbal reservations can be made for you and your party by messaging me here on the site. However, spots are only guaranteed at the time that payment is received. Payment can be made via personal check and should be sent to Victory Lanes, 1801 W. Station St., Kankakee, IL 60901 or by credit card by calling Victory Lanes (815) 939-2695. The field will be capped at 64 bowlers (32 per squad). Last year, B squad filled very quickly, so make sure to reserve your spots to make sure that your group can bowl at its preferred time.
Side pots will once again be available, and, if all goes as hoped, brackets will be run this year as well.
If you need any more info, please don't hesitate to message me or to call Victory Lanes (815) 939-2695. I look forward to seeing all of you here in March! I will start a post that shows squad availabilty as soon as reservations begin to come in.
UPDATE: Visionary Bowling Products and Lane 1 have both generously agreed to donate bowling balls and other goods to this year's event. VBP has donated a NIB 15lb Green Gargoyle while Lane 1 is sending a NIB 15lb XXXL and Lane 1 hats. Every participant will be given one free raffle ticket for these items. Additional tickets can be purchased. All proceeds generated from these raffles will be added directly to the tournament's prize fund. We are also currently in the process of sending a request to DynoThane to see if they would be willing to make some sort of donation as well. I will update you all with more info on that when it becomes available. In any case, thanks are due to VBP and Lane 1 for their generosity! In the meantime, get those entries in. It's going to be a great tournament again this year!
