It was a decent shot last year. I cashed in a few pots/brackets and ended up with a low 1800 something for all events. Im glad to hear about the new wood. I ended playing the whole lane last year after the first game break down.

I bowled like crap. I had the pleasure of bowling with Gabe Howell today. Man that dude can put some speed and hand in the ball.

I knew that the lanes would be dry. Just as the last two years Ive bowled it, they only oiled up to the heads, so I started off playing 6th arrow to third arrow with a weak ball and it ended up breaking down 5th frame. I started off good, getting to the pocket decent and then the 6th frame on, everything was through the nose. I ended up with like a 570 for doubles. I switched to a polished ball for doubles, thinking I could move right. Not a chance. No matter how much loft or speed I put on it, it was nose diving. Anything to the right of third arrow, was through the nose. I was forced to stay inside of third and went to plastic, straight down third. A few 8-10s and splits, ended with a 540 something for singles. Day 2 - team was total opposite. Anything outside of third arrow was flooded. I started off decent with a small 200 after an open in the tenth. Shot changed back to the previous day, after Gabe burnt up the right side...lol. I ended up with a 590. Being from houses with fesh oil, its definitely an experience every year. For me, it makes me change surfaces and balls every few shots to keep up with those guys used to that type of shot. I wish I could get some guys from here up North to come down. Carrying a 227 average, like myself, those guys would be in for a treat lol.

Yea gabe had his headphones on lol. I from up North and went down with some friends from Danville. The team that he bowled, looked like there was a few from the Danville/Champaign area too.

There was plenty of oil from 3rd arrow to 6th arrow and up to the heads. The rest was bone dry.
