I went to collegiate Nationals out in Omaha...definately a different kind of area.  I remember there being 4 bowling alleys on the main strip in town.  When I was there 97 and 98 I remember most of the lanes being old wood.  But I have got to imagine that things have changes by now??

Give me a PM. Been in Omaha for 5 years now.
Most of the houses are synthetic now. Just over the river in Council Bluffs,Iowa last year they held the Banquet open at Thunderbowl Lanes. The sister house is Mockingbird in Omaha. I bowl at Western Bowl, 22 lanes, synthetic, lighter oil. You have 2 excellent pro shops that I use. Kelleys Pro shop and Bowlers Choice Pro shop(ran by ex touring pro Rich Abbooud). Check out how they do every year in the ABC's they know their stuff.
Personally I love the area, lots of things to to but not a large city feel.

Check this site.  www.sunvalleylanes.com
First sanctioned 900 shot there by Sonnefield.
Right now Sun Valley is sitting in 33rd at the ABC's.
Nebraska ladies team won NCAA championship this year, out of Lincoln.
