It would pay around $1000 for first place and pay 25 places total.

Let me know if you have more questions.

totally curious here.  How can something non sanctioned use sanctioned rules, and why do you have to use your sanctioned average if this is a non sanctioned event?

The reason that this tournament is non-sanctioned is because of the amount of work that is involved in making a sport bowling tournament sanctioned. The lanes would have to be dressed, tapes pulled and read and then put into the formula and verified and then fax to USBC before the tournament began. The other thing is we would have to use Sport Bowling averages or use adjusted averages. This would have to be verified before a payout. This just seemed easier to be able to accomplish by using regular averages and USBC rules.

My mistake with the flyer. The bowling fee for the 50 people total is $695.50 leaving $1304.50 left for a payout. What the flyer should read is
 $400.00
 $200.00
 $90.00
 $90.00
 $75.00
 $75.00
 $75.00
 $75.00
 $65.00
 $60.00
 $50.00
 $45.00
for the 12 places that this tournament would pay.

You can see some of the past tournaments that we have ran with their payouts listed as well to see that really it is being done right. Those are located at
http://www.blackhawklanes.com/tournaments/tournament_results.asp

Thanks for bringing the flyer to my attention, I will make sure that is changed for future versions of this tournament that we run.

I encourage you to come try the tournament out, it is a fair, but challenging shot.

E-mail me your personal information; name, address, phone, E-mail and last year's highest average. Please bring your sanction card with you for average verification. Email that info to http://TJ@BlackhawkLanes.comand I will give you the $40 entry fee upon arrival.

The house has synthetic lanes and there are only about 5 entries so far, but this is not unusual, because everyone seems to wait until the deadline or pay the extra upon arrival. I wish there was a way to get everyone to sign up early, but it just doesn't happen.

We look forward to seeing you there.

That does seem to be the case and I'm one of those that seem
to procrastinate when it comes to signing up. Jeez you would
think that a guy that bowls on your team would be a little
quicker to sign up but you can count me in. Now I might
just have to call and have you drill up that Double Agent
for Sunday morning.  Seriously though guys this is a great
tournament run by super nice guy at a very nice house give it
a try you won't be disappointed.

We are offering a no penalty on the entry fee for showing up the day of the tournament. Remember November 12th at 10AM is the start time, with a 9:30AM check in and entry fee of $40. We will have scratch and handicap brackets, scratch side pots and a scratch mystery doubles available.

This is a 45-Foot Sport Bowling Oil Pattern.  Come see if you have what it takes!

I just wanted to thanks to you Blawkhawk and you 102101.  You have a great house out there in Sterling and made me feel very comfortable when I showed up for the tourney especially when I needed to use the pro shop to open some holes up.  I wish the rockford area houses would run such a tournament.  I do plan on returning hopefully with a few more guys or gals to bowl.  Thanks again hopefully I'll give a better showing next time.
