USBC Ohio State Tournament
« on: April 06, 2011, 12:01:31 AM »
I will be bowling the Ohio State on April 30 / May 1 and I was just curious as to what everyone has seen so far in general that has bowled.  I bowled a TNBA event once at one of the houses and the heads were an absolute desert (I was throwing the spare ball and it was moving quite a bit).....kind of hoping we actually get some oil here..

Just curious...

Team Event - good amount of oil, OB to the right

D/S - pretty much a desert as you would guess at that house :(

The heads at Polking (I believe is the name) were smoked beyond belief last time I was there.

I am also bowling April 30th and May 1st.

I have bowled in both houses and bowled a PBA experience league at the team house for a couple years.  I work very close to the team house and went there after work one weekend.  There is an out of bounds right of 8.  The middle hooks a lot.  The land surface there is only a few years old and there is not a lot of friction.

The lane surface for the doubles/singles event has a lot of friction.  It will hook a lot.

was just there this past weekend and you are spot on at capri lanes there was out of bounds right of around board ten the crankers on my shift could strike but they left some washout some 1-2-4-6-10 typical, the down and in was the best shot for scoring, at poleking south the heads were fried big time no problem getting to the pocket it's all about carry bring something long and strong for there i used a ransom killed the pocket all 6 games on sunday and shot1289 i had a supernova, bank pearl and ransom. for capri i would use something for heavier oil, and at poleking something with pop on the back-end good luck

to the team that is leading the team event with 3375, my hats off to you guys! The team shot was but very picky and you had to be spot on. 235 took high game across the house the 2nd game! D/S shot was very playable. Good amount of oil to start, our pair broke down quick, but we had 5 guys throwing basically the same line.
