This is by far the best prize fund we see each year for a singles tournament! Definitely worth your weekend!
-
The prize fund is fair and the side action is unbelieveable. If you like to gamble do not miss this event!

The PBA removed all 3 of my threads from their message boards after I posted last year's prize fund. I emailed the moderator and no response. Other tournaments are still listed. Truly scratching my head on this one. No profanity or anything derogatory said about the PBA and they just simply removed it.

Respect the skill....not which hand it's thrown with.

You should have titled the thread "Bottlegate". Then, they would have not removed the thread there since it is related to the circus they are currently running.

Tony,
It might be because the East Region has a tournament in NY that same weekend. They might view your event as competition. Not saying that's fair just that it might be the reason.
-
REALLY, PBA still has regional tournaments??? Just kidding?
I thought it was funny!

They have a senior regional event in upstate NY that weekend. I may get 5-10 seniors to bowl. No a huge threat to them but it is what it is.

Sad how few "bowlers" from forest hill will go do this..maybe 2.. I'll believe them when I see them..everyone whines there's nothing good to bowl in, and when there is they won't play..sad...
-
I like the fact we have 2-3 really good tournaments in our area and I am with you on that. We really could have better local support. All myself, Jeff & Latise Baker and Darnell Bell can do is just continue to run these tournaments. Eventually the locals will come out and support the events.

Local Bowlers???? What and who are they?
I think I saw 1 or 2 of them on a Milk Carton yesterday!

If all the local tournaments in this area remotely had any local support... MD, VA, and PA... The tournaments would thriving instead of dewindling!!!
Here's the kicker, Will Tony get to the number, yes because of the loyalty from outside the area. This years field looks stronger than ever. Get your entries in to reserve your spot because A squad usually fills up quick!

Yes, getting hit with entries now for 9:30am..I have a sneaky feeling that people will show that just haven't reserved. I have personally talked to at least 10 people who said they are coming but haven't reserved and are bringing people with them.
I encourage people to come out to the sweeper on the 12th at 7:30pm to get a preview of the pattern.

Will you be posting a roster for this event?

This just might be the best singles tournament going. VMSBT will not only have a solid prize fund but there will be PLENTY-O side action to make your money back as well.

Thank you to VMSBT's Billy, Gloria and Tony for putting on an excellent event as USUAL. To kill the rumor about the shot being hard, the top 20 averaged 228.5+ on Saturday with 6 lefties in the top 20. And it took a 222 average to sneak into spots 21-28 to cash. Folks were striking just like they do at league.
Here's a breakdown of the entries for the bowlers I knew, so a few of the entries aren't counted.
State / Entries
DE 6
MD 60
NC 1
NJ 10
NJ 10
NY 9

Only 12 bowlers from Virginia; very disappointing to say the least!
-
No, the shot was not hard, it was very playable...you just had to play it the right way.
I had more carry issues than anything. Of course, it did not help that I busted my ass in the fourth game, and
was quite sore for the rest of the tournament....But hey, I finished on the plus side.
I can always be happy with that.
Another great local tournament...Great job everyone!

Hey Budda, I looked down and saw you sprawled out. Good to hear you did not break anything.
