Babylon - Synthetic lanes wood approaches 10-10 shot (oil changes at the moment its fairly light but it could change soon). I'll be bowling that night.

I've never been to Baldwin but I'd imagine it's similar to Babylon like every AMF on the island.

Well Baldwin is privately owned and not an AMF house. If they put out the house shot, you can play the track. Plenty of backend but watch the carrydown...9

Good luck getting in at Babylon for the A2Z. The website says it's sold out except for a couple of spots they leave open. A2Z is a very popular tourney on Long Island. I may have just saved you a trip.  BTW, Babylon lays down a moderately easy house shot except when the PBA rolls into to town. The lanes are HPL 9000 about 12-15 years old.

You can try the Old School Tourney finale at Plainview this weekend. This tourney have been getting some decent turn outs with a 1st place winning of $1000.

Email them. You can ask him what your chances are.

They have giving you all the info .. can't add anything!Babylon was my home house before I moved to NC 8 years ago! If you get there and have problems getting into the tournament, tell MIKE the manager Joe Falco sent you .. nothing guaranteed .. but it won't hurt! GOOD LUCK in the tournaments!

just got back from bowling the nabi out at baldwin and the a2z at babylon... WOW DOES A2Z HAVE A TURNOUT, they had like 58 bowlers for scratch and 80 something for handicap, i did not fare that well as they put down a very very tough if not a sport shot, scoring pace was not that high but the shot was very very difficult, but all in all good experience, might bowl a2z again but for 5 games of qualifying we didn't start till 815p and i didn't finish my last game tilla bout 1145 hmph!

A2Z always has turn outs like that...

That shot normally isn't like that.. it was drier than it normally is.

i think u meant a lot more oil then usual, i was bowling the last block of the house and there was some oil especially on the outer boards, i've never seen that many people miss the pocket before, defintely not a house shot

I had heard that they oiled over the shot (without stripping) used for the Senior Masters earlier that day.  I might have come in last.  LOL

Wow. I'm surprised that you were able to get into the A2Z tourney. They have been sold out for weeks with only a handful of walk in spots open.

no i was able to pre-register the week of the tourney though i do know of couple of guys who walked up but i did hear alot of people were discouraged with the shot... i felt if they were going to put something different which im defintely down for, it would've been nice to know with prior knowledge
