Krumpy300(Ken) is very modest and wants me to keep it short.
Basically, he stayed away from the big hook and used his (soon-to-be-famous, ((OK I'm embellishing already))) rolling release to float it on/in the oil line. He stayed with a mild ball to stay in control and let the others ... not read the lane correctly. From my sessions with Ken, when I'm trying not stare in amazement, it's one, his ability to read the lanes and know where to play them for his release and, two, his knowledge of his balls and their reactions that make him the bowler he is. Well, his release is pretty special, too.
He came in 2nd last year. At his wife's "suggestion" (she stands behind him and his bowling, a big factor for any man) he won this year.
(Sorry, Ken, that's as short and sweet as I could be, and still cover all the bases.
)
CONGRATS, Krumpy!!!
