This past weekend, the Bowl With the Ladies staff kicked off the series at Richland Lanes in Johnstown, PA. They had 10 teams show up for the doubles event on Saturday morning and paid $1000-$600-$300. It took 31 over to make the stepladder. The practice session ran from 3pm-5pm and followed up by the 7pm pro-am. There were roughly 130 bowlers at the pro-am, bowling and having a good time with the ladies. On Sunday, the main event took place. 12 games of qualifying with a break in the middle. The ladies bowled on one of Kegel's patterns which placed a premium on shot making and spare shooting. The event advertised a 1:3 cash ratio but paid 1:2, so 17 of the 34 entries cashed. The $2,500 top prize was guaranteed regardless of the number of entries.
