I spoke with Dual Lanes and it has been decided that the US Open pattern will be laid out for this event.

Just curious who you talked to because my Uncle is who decides what pattern is put down and he never lets anyone know the pattern, including me, before the day of the tournament. He feels this is the best way to keep the playing field even for everyone.

Jason, isn't the pattern always the house shot anyways for the doubles tournament?  I guess I always thought that everyone knew that it was going to be easy prior to bowling.

Even though it's a house shot.  It is slightly different from time to time.
I do hope the US Open pattern rumor is true.  I guess if it was,  it sounds like it may change now.

If you read the flyer it says it will be a sport shot tourney, however they have NEVER in 4 plus years said what the pattern is until the day of the tournament.

It is most of the time. The guys sponsoring this particular tournament requested something harder.

They have been modifying the house shot slightly the last few tournaments. I can't say if the US Open pattern will be used because he will never let anyone know what the pattern is going  to be.
