Dave Ferraro Open
« on: February 27, 2009, 12:25:09 AM »
Will anyone, from BR, be heading up to North Adams, MA for the Dave Ferraro/Mount Greylock open??  I'll be there and would like to meet a few members.

I might go up just to watch.  I have bowled there many times before as it is only about 30 minutes from me.  I took 5 years off before coming back this year and feel I am just not ready to re-enter these types of tourneys yet.  I do know of alot of people who are bowling it though.

Ah going back home, I'm definitely bowling.  You gotta stop down Blake boy, lots of fun to watch.

If I recall correctly Blake boy has taken some time off of bowling but came out of the wonderful Pittsfield Jr. League.

Yeah I grew up in Pittsfield, bowled for the Pitts Jr. League/Travel League, bowled the regional the last 2 years.  Grew up bowling left-handed but had to switch to right-handed at 12.  Last name Janas.  <--- might be the biggest clue.

Nah Matt you could've stopped at bowled left and had to switch right.  I figured it was either you or Steve C.  Is he coming as well?  The Shark should be a good match for his game.

I don't think he is.  He was planning on it, but he recently bought a house and i think he's still got a bit of work on it.  Some things just come first you know.

I was thinking this as well . . . but it'll be nice to see what happens.

Well the way I look at this is that with changes to the patterns and actually being able to hook the ball on shark, it'll probably open up rather quickly and may provide a good scoring pace.  I had been waiting to see that pattern and would have figured that it would have been one of the shorter ones.

I think it's going to be great . . .  I've heard reports that some exempt bowlers are going to be there again this year.  More than one . . .

Yeah there should be a few, as some may already be heading this way for the Norwich stop.

Matty J  what's going on my friend?  Good to hear that you are going to be coming around to bowl it again.  Tommy where is your home center then?  I bowl in Kens.  Wish everyone good luck who goes to bowl it.

tommymo,

I will be up there bowling.  After bowling as a member when I was 19, ten years ago, this will be my first regional since 1999. Should be fun!
