I wish I was kidding. Apparently he was supposed to be at a cookout on Sunday. And when he didn't show up, a buddy of his went to his apartment looking for him and found him unfortunately.

Definitely sad news.  I bowled against him in a tournament two years ago.

Unfortunately this is true.  When I got a call from a friend of mine telling me the news I was just shocked and didn't have anything to say.  Then within a few minutes I was getting text messages and phone calls.  I have been battling on the lanes with and against Brian for roughly 19 years.  I just saw him Saturday at the VMSBT at Greenway and I had no idea that was going to be the last time I would see him.  All morning I have been thinking about the conversations, disagreements and laughs we have had and I just now realized how much I will miss him.  RIP "Poolester"!!!

He'll be best remembered for his now world famous letters to AMF telling them to "FIX THE LEFT" at Capital Plaza.

Brian would always joke with me at our tournaments when he did not cash, "Baker, this is the last 40 Boards event I am bowling!"

Hard to believe Saturday was the last time I'd see my man Poole. We'll miss him making us laugh with his one of a kind sense of humor.

I just hope that he knew besides a hell of a bowler he was a good person who touched alot of people. We all will miss his complaining of how they shut out the lefties and never coming back to a tournament and all that other good stuff Brain used to complain about but all and all he will be missed as a friend..    "RIP BRIZMO"

I'm still in shock. I just saw him Saturday at my tournament. My heart goes out to his family. 40 is way to young to leave this earth. But we all have our time.

He will be missed.
