How did the new format work out?

    What were the entries like?

What was the cut to make each round?

You should edit the main post so that the new format is shown.

    Thanks.

Your original post says top 3 to step ladder so why would he take anything other than 3 for the step ladder finals.  What am I missing here?  It should always be there.  What did he take, the top 5 last week or something?

I think the Round 2 - 2 game series has been removed.  It makes sense because the original way you could lead Round 1 and not even cash because there is no carry-over.

Nothing has been removed, just now every week the top 3 will join the king in the stepladder no matter what.  Cashers will be based on a 1:4 ratio.

Steve you are exactly correct, qualifying means nothing, 1st or 12th, you still are not guaranteed to cash, its basically just a cut round.

Had 26 this week, took -49 to make the first cut then +13 to make the stepladder.  seems to be growing each week

While it is true that the first round is just a cut round I believe there is an optional high qualifier's prize. So at least it means a little something.

Forgive my ignorance but i'm not seeing the difference.  Top 3 move to a stepladder and the winner of the stepladder bowls the King right?

If that's the case, I don't understand the change.

It's not a change so much as a correction of a mistake made a couple of weeks ago when they only took 2 people to the step ladder. The third person was understandedly a little(ok Lee was more than a little) upset. This just finalizes the correction.

Joes exactly right, the 2nd week, he only took 2 people to stepladder, now hes taking 3 no matter what, so there really is no change, just a guarantee now for the top 3.

Yeah I think theres an optional high qaulifier, but how many people are really getting in that?  That round is strictly made for brackets, but there haven't been too many of those either

Congrats to the new king Chris Johnson!  Suppose to be the USA team trials (medium) pattern the next 2 weeks, however this weeks pattern wasn't even close to last weeks so who knows!

    What year's Team USA Tournament?

The last couple of years they have been using PBAX patterns.
