Looking For 2008 Northeast Tournaments!
« on: November 10, 2007, 09:33:33 AM »
Hey guys!  I am looking to bowl in some tournaments in the northeastern part of the world (NH, MA, ME, CT, VT, RI).  I have a team of guys that bowl the Green Mountain Open in Rutland, VT every year, but we were trying to find a similar style tournament anywhere in the northeast, and I am having a hard time finding one.  We can not bowl in the Lilac City tournament because our combined averages are too high, and we like to travel to various tournaments when they are available.  We would prefer a scratch tournament, but as long as the tournament has singles, doubles, and team events with no average cap, we would bowl in it.  If you could include any contact info for the tournament(s) it would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks for the help!!

THEY HAVE THE NORTHEASTERN IN KEENE,NH IN FEBRUARY.  BOTH SCRATCH AND HANDICAP PAYOUTS. PRETTY GOOD MONEY IF YOU ARE HIGH UP IN THE STANDINGS.  LAST YEAR I BROUGHT HOME LIKE $600 NOT CASHING IN THE TEAM EVENT

Thanks bowler25!  Do you happen to have any contact info for this tournament, or do you know the website?  Any info would be great, thank you.

Bro, how did you make that much money bowling on wood?? I know you throw it hard, but that place just flat out hooks!!

The Northeastern is a decent tournament, and a fun weekend if you get together with a group of people. It just fries me that the place is still beat up wood..

Maine, I was going to suggest NEBA to you, but NEBA's a singles tournament that runs monthly. In the event that you might be interested, check out www.bowlneba.com

JoeyD, I have my NEBA membership and bowl 2-3 per year (as time permits).  I also bowl in a Maine scratch tournament which runs monthly and is very fun to bowl.  I was just looking for any tournaments close to home (Maine) that my scratch team can bowl together (besides Nationals).  I appreciate the replies, and if anyone else reads this, I would love to hear about anymore tournaments in this area, thanks!

we won the doubles event, place top 5 in singles, and won all events.  they actually played different for me this year compared to last when i struggled cause like you said they hooked out of the building.  this year wasnt too bad was using a tnv for the whole tourney.

I orignally posted this topic in September, but I am looking for everyone's help with the new year approaching fast.  If anyone knows of any tournaments with a singles, doubles, team, all events format (preferrably scratch, but not necessary) near Maine (NH, VT, MA) coming up in the next few months please reply, or just send me a pm with contact info for the tournament.  I really hope someone can help me on this one, because I have a group of guys who all love to tournament bowl and travel, so any tournament with the format I described would be appreciated.  The only two I know about are the Lilac City, and the Green Mountain Open, both of which we have bowled in the past.  Thanks for the help, and take care everyone!!

Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it.  We are going to Rutland the last weekend in March, so if anyone else here is going, I hope to see you there!  I am going to check out some of the other tourneys you guys listed above, and hopefully we can squeeze in 2-3 of those depending on everyone's work schedules, family commitments, etc., etc.  If anyone else has any info on the Northeastern tournament held in Keene, NH I would appreciate it. I can not find contact info anywhere for this tourney and if anyone could give me a website or phone number it would be great, thanks again for all the help!!
