Our Family's Pro Shop and Playdrome Rose Bowl Presents: Summer Scratch Series:


The June 12th event will feature our Super Match Play format. All bowlers will bowl 4 games in the Match Play Qualifying Round. Each bowler will bowl the ENTIRE field each game. Each bowler will earn 1 win for EVERY bowler they beat each game and 1 loss for every bowler that they do not beat. Example: With 30 entries, if you have the HIGHEST game, Game 1, you would be 29-0. I...f you have the LOWEST game, Game 1, you would be 0-29 and so on. After the completetion of the 4 games of Super Match Play, the top 5 bowlers with the best Win/Loss record will bowl a step-ladder final. No bonus pins will be offered for wins during the Super Match Play Qualifying Round. Last cash will be $65 (Based on 40 entries).


Are you looking for some scratch action over the summer months? Look no further! Beginning with our first event on May 8th, we will be running a monthly Scratch tournament. We will be running events in May, June, July and August with an Invitational event at the end of the season. Each month will feature a unique tournament format and lane condition! 16 spots will be up for grabs for the Invitational. The 4 winners of the monthly events will AUTOMATICALLY qualify for the Invitational. The remaining 12 spots will be determined by a season long points standing.


Check-in starts at 9am. Tournament practice begins at 10am.

Entry Fee $40 ($27 prize fund, $9 lineage, $2 expenses, $2 Sunshine Kids Foundation)

1st Place GUARANTEED $350, Last Cash $65 (Based on 40 Entries)

Brackets and High Game Pots will be available.

No house patterns will be used!

This is an adult tournament series. No junior bowlers will be allowed to participate.

Dan,

 

It should be a very interesting tournament. We are hoping that the format is not too difficult to undersatnd. You are bowling "head to head" against everyone in the field, each game. Try to get some guys to come up with you. We only had 28 the 1st event but the word spread and we are hoping to get around 40 for this event.

We are only 5 days away from our 2nd event! This months event features our Super Match Play format. Everyone in the field bowls everyone each game! It should be a very exciting tournament. $40 Entry Fee, $350 Guaranteed for 1st Place.

Hello Everyone,


Sorry for the delay in updates. It's been a crazy summer.


We have decided that due to low entry numbers, we are going to Postpone the last 2 events of the Summer Series until September, hoping for a better turnout once the winter leagues start back up. We will keep you posted as to when our next event will be and what we plan to do with the Invitational Event.


To all of the bowlers who came out and supported our first 2 Events, we GREATLY appreciate your support. Scratch tournament bowling has been in a downward sprial for some time but you took the time out of your schedules to come out and give our tournament series a try. For that, we Thank You and we hope that we can get this series headed in the right direction for the future.


Have a great summer and we hope to see you once we start up again!
