New York City Tournament

Staten Island's biggest tournament will run for 3 weekends starting January 3rd. The tournament is only 70% handicap of 215 and the finals are scratch. Squads are 1 and 2:30 1/3, 1/10, 1/17 and 1:30 and 3 1/4, 1/11, 1/18. Finals are top 24 scratch head to head single game elimination. 1st place is based on entries but is usually $1,600. Entry is $40 per squad. If you enter the 1st squad you get a free reentry. There are usually 100 brackets the first squad.

Also, forgot to note, Rab's Country Lanes is located at 1600 Hyland Blvd, Staten Island NY 10306

Each qualifying round is 3 games. Top 24 from all squads move on to the finals. Handicap qualifying, but the finals are in fact scratch.

Do you have to have a membership for SI?  I'm about a half hour away in NJ and am interested.

No, you don't need to be from SI. Its open to everybody unless you have a PBA Card.

Yeah, Im already registered my dad went down to see Jimmy since he runs a store like down the block from my house, and he registered me and him, so I will definately be bowling the first squad.

That part I disagree with TBH, I think the whole tourney should be scratch, but thats the just the way he does things.

Nah, I didn't get up there the first week.  I'm going to try and get up there maybe this weekend, if I'm lucky.  But, who knows

Cut isn't too outrageous yet this year, and there will be some decent entries the last week with all the good locals trying to make it so there should be some pots and eliminators too, you should definately try and make it.
