I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you happen to bowl in the Central NJ area and need a pro shop definitely look into Next Level Pro Shop at Hyway Bowl (Union NJ).

Lonce drilled a CZ for me and it just wasn't reacting as I thought it would. After throwing a few balls with different surface changes, Lonce summed up that the MB must have been mis-marked. He grabbed the ball and said to me, "let's go drill something else". Simply paid for the new lifts and I was on my way.

Customer satisfaction is very important to Lonce and it shows. He's always looking to bring in ball companies, (he had a very successful Track seminar) and his knowledge of the game is outstanding.

Thanks again Lonce, you have another satisfied customer.

Not to knock your experience (if I had that kind of service at the pro shop here in town, I'd be in every week), but isn't it impossible for Brunswick to mis-mark the MB since it's an actual pin connected to the core?  

That is, Track, Storm, and some of the other companies with lots of asymmetrical equipment spins the ball and puts some sort of engraving on the MB location.  But in the Brunswick case (and, I guess, their private label customers like Lane 1 and Morich), there's a second pin connected to the core at the MB location and this pin actually shows through as a little white dot.  How can that possibly be mismarked?

I'm sure Lonce will jump in at some point but all I can tell you by experience is that the ball quit on the backends no matter what the surface or lane condition. I threw in on a Sunday morning after a Friday night dressing and all day Saturday of play, fresh oil to about 37 feet-medium wet, and yesterday on a freshly resurfaced lane condition. The CZ quit at different points on all 3 conditions with different surface preps (high gloss to 1200 grit).

Drilled another CZ with the pin a touch higher (and the MB in basically the same location) than the original and the difference was night and day.

Not saying Big B isn't excellent at what they do but the drilling and reaction did not match the reaction. It is possible that the pin under ring may have smoothed the reaction a bit, but I cannot explain it quiting on 3 totally different conditions.

Maybe Lonce can explain at greater detail.
