So did anybody go to the beginning of the tournament this past weekend? I will heading up mothers day weekend this year and can't wait to go.
the team house had a good bit of friction on fresh and even on 2nd sqaud, carrying the corner pins was more the issue. Bowled on the lower end of the house right inside of the front entrance. There was only 11 scratch brackets when I bowled. NOW the minor house.... Tight-Tight-Tight.... Never saw so many 3 counts and 4 counts in my life at any state tournament. Super slick surface and not much friction... Had alot more brackets and I will be honest, I won several 2nd and 3rd games with 180's and 190's.... Even saw a 147 game move thru in the 2nd game in one of the scratch brackets... I used 2 different Defiants, 1 Outlaw, 1 Shooting Star, and 1 Rising Star- which I used games 3-4-5 and part of 6 at minor houses. Stronger core balls did not work well, atleast for me and the guys I bowled with. Also I noticed that at the minor house, after finding the sweet spot, after 5-6 shots, you had to move. I watched the squad after us, and they had hook/slide after about 1 1/2 games... I'm looking forward in going back in May... I have a score to settle with the minor house...
