Trust me , he's not the first one to have this problem, nor will he be the last. Whether you are a member or a guest, it is still the bowler's responsibilty to make sure that all equipment and accessories are on the PBA approved products list. There is an "Approved Products" link on the PBA page that anyone can access and SHOULD access before bowling in a PBA event. If they don't have internet access, they should ask the regional director about anything they have a question about.
As a PBA member, I'm sorry that Justin was fined had to bowl without the Wrister, and that it may have cost him money, but it really was his responsibility to make sure that he was using approved accessories. I'm sure that during the non-members meeting that all firsttimers are requried to attend that Russ talked about resgistered products. We all have to live by the rules, if he had a question, he should have asked.
