Good first attempt. We all had to start with tournament #1.

Great tournament pattern. Their house shot is totally "old school".

Tony.. you finally got to play 'inside' and wheel on it for a change.  Definitely a little different than what we've been bowling on lately... That center would be perfect for booking averages for the summer tour doubles.  You could have a baggin' average while actually trying to bowl good.

D,

A very good turnout for the first tournament and the pattern seemed to play tough enough througout qualifying.

After 5 games of Qualifying

Leader (+82)

Cut to cash/make top 16 (-11)

I will send you an email or PM regarding my thoughts for the future.

Yeah definitely a good tournament with a great tournament shot.  Everyone was forced to play inside so no whining from the righties about the lefties playing up 5, the lefties that did make the cut were actually in around 15-20, which made it fair for both sides, because the righties and lefties were crossing over each others ball marks.

Like I told you Darnell, next time $1000 and $500 will make more sense, because then you can stagger the prize fund more, $60 for $1000 is still a great ratio.

All those that like the side action, 90 brds, and the pots paid $130 for 1st and I believe $60 or $65 for 2nd, so there is money to be made!

All in all a good first tournament and I look forward to the next one!

Thanks Steve and Mike, I definitely listen and will make those necessary changes. As far as the shot that shot has been there for about 3-4 years now and it never changes Monday-Friday. I try to tell folks to bring a tournament in there so I can bowl next time..lol,  But I will do it again and now that I got my feet wet I know what i have to do to make it even better.

Yeah, Dbum! Great turnout for the tourney, man. I was impressed. Next one, I'll actually bowl in, too!

Hey, as far as the stepladder finals goes........how about changing lanes for each step, on the ladder? Just a thought.

No offense to Kenny, but he got "locked in" on that one pair!

Hey Jesse, thanks for the words. Changing lanes is a thought but If Kenny didn't get locked in would that have been a issue. It happens. I don't know many tournaments that keep changing lanes throught the stepladder. But I hear you Jesse. Thanks

I'll say this.. That was some good "Old Fashion" bowling yesterday. Honestly, I would rate what we bowled on yesterday as a sport shot. It had all the characteristics of one too. Low volume, hooking middle and hang to the right & left.

DB, I agree with Mike L. $1000-1st and $500-2nd place is nothing to sneeze at for a $60 entry fee. Great job, little brother! ......

    @ dursty - YES I DID! ......

For those that missed the 1N4 on Sunday, you missed some fun and a good event.

DB - I know you left the tournament with a ton of thoughts on what you liked and disliked. That's still happening with 40 Boards and we are going into year 4. Even though my ball kept hooking, I'll be back. -)

And tell KL to be on time next time. LOL

That’s why I didn’t bowl.  I cannot stand it when bowlers arrive late or tournament directors hold up the starting time of a tournament to allow bowlers to get to the center and not receive any type of penalty.  Normally the culprit is Bobby and that alone kills entries for the future.  Pleasing one person causes 10 others to not bowl, was it worth it?  Think about it….and ask Jim Smith how his entries are doing these days

As much of a moron Trump might be, I do agree with him.  I drive just as far if not further than most and ive been late twice, once for traffic and once because I didn't know where I was going.  So how does someone that lives within say 30-45 mins of every tournament arrive late so much?  Its amazing that these guys goto Chambersburg, Pa, which is a lil drive for them and they always make it there on time, because they know all the tournaments in that area start right on time.  If the VA/MD directors actually started doing this, they would be amazed how someone can actually make it one time lol.
