1st of all. I did not wait on Kenny lowe. I had people in the office signing up and I didn't know it was 10 minutes passed. Next time that will change, but this was the 1st tournament I ever ran. I hear everything and I will make changes. But you (trump) whoever you are didn't bowl because of that is crazy. It's not many perfect tournaments in my opinion and I have Bowled my share.

Dbum,

I wasn't necessarily talking about yours, but you know as well as anyone else, for the last 5 years, the same 3-5 guys always show up late because they know they can get away with it and it does suck sometimes, I rush to make it on time and then come to find out I had another 15-30 mins to spare.  Just my .02!

Darnell, I knew what was holding you guys up in the office, a rush of folks. And for the record, KL drove from Lebanon hoping to make it and we weren't waiting on him.

Trump, please don't cite a late bowler as why you don't, didn't or aren't bowling a tournament. We need to all be honest as to why we didn't bowl.

I did not bowl because I...
A. Conveniently forgot
B. Could not afford it
C. Heard the house shot was not easy
D. Just plain scared to compete

If bowlers want to know why the tournament scene is holding strong at 40 entries, look in the mirror. Quote unquote good bowlers are always making excuse as to why they don't bowl a tournament yet they can bowl league 4 nights a week, get in all the side action.

Actually, I like the tough conditions and when Darnell announced the house shot was being put down I decided against bowling.  A house condtion for a tournament is just stupid.

This still doesn't excuse the allowance of tardy bowlers being allowed to bowl without a penalty of zero for each frame after the announced starting time!

Missed a good tournament Trump.  Although it was a THS it was 'their' version and scoring pace was pretty low.  Personally wouldn't necessarily skip a tournament just because it's a THS (if there wasn't anything else to bowl that weekend) as often as in this case they don't always play 'easy'.  Usually in the end though the best players are the ones still making money, just with higher scores.

Parkland's house shot Isn't your typical house shot.... I bowled league there and avg around 182-185 then i sub in amf houses and avg around 200-210... I would bowl any tourney at parkland...no matter what they put down.

Darnell/Lamont,  Great tournament. After talking to Lamont the weeks before about what Parkland put out for a house shot, I should have known what to expect.  I'll be back for the next one regardless of the shot.

What happened to the days of someone announcing a tournament at a center and all anyone asked was, "How much is the entry and what time?"

May the PBA burn in hell for starting that stupid trend.

Why can't people show up and just test their skills against other bowlers their calibur or better? "Sometimes you eat the bear and sometimes the bear eats you". You live to bowl another day. It's all about improving isn't it? As tough as the pattern was, I will bowl again at Parkland because I felt like I left some score there.

Gang, there are always going to be those that bowl and those that will stand in the back and criticize. That's ok because they have the right to do that.  It's what makes this country so great. We'll continue to enjoy events like 1N4Tournaments, 40Boards, Money Bags and VMSBT while the "Sideliners" continue to watch.

I’m not criticizing, I’m just saying when you hear “House Shot” you automatically think high scores and 250 games getting you knocked out of brackets.  It’s just the stereotype which happens to be true when the words  â€œHouse Shot” are echoed.

I will be at any and all tournaments that do not put the house shot down.
