    quote:
Hi Guys, Two important facts that should be mentioned. Last year we had a $50 off entry if you mailed your entry in early. We felt that this prevented a lot of guys from coming down and bowling at the last minute. This year we decided to have the $50 off bonus apply to the first squad on Saturday (10:00AM). That squad is $250 and you still get the free ball - That basically means you pay $100 for a chance to win $10,000 (Ball value estimated at $150). So if your plans change at the last minute you can come to Carolier and bowl without a penalty.
Second is the recruiter program - Very simple - get 4 guys who did not bowl LAST year and you get a free entry. The brochure says 'bowled previously' but it should have read 'last year'. There were 55 players who bowled in 2007 and did not bowl last year. If you want a list of these guys to try and recruit E-Mail me at buzgoodman@aol.com and I will send you a copy of this list. This is also a good deal - Recruit 4 guys - total cost $1,200 - Take the value of 4 balls - $600 - divide the remaining $600 5 ways and you have $120 per bowler. If these 5 guys bowl Saturday at 10:00 AM the cost drops to $1,000 - $600 (balls) and if cost $400 for 5 guys to bowl - that's $80 each. Not a bad deal!!!!!
Hope to see you at Carolier

basically the pattern is the same as last year with a little more volume on the lane to allow players to user the Siege and try to win the extra $1,000 for a 300 game. The graph will be posted at the tournament site and I will try to have one available online before then. If you bowled either of the last two years so will recall the scores as moderate (not sport type and certainly not house shot type). Somewhere in the middle of those two options. We had a good range of players make the finals - Hook guys

    quote:
Update - As of 8/3/2009 we have 6 people who have taken advantage of the recruiter special - That means 24 new bowlers who did not bowl last year will be playing in this year's event. If you have a group of guys who are planning on coming and did not bowl last year, just me be a call or E-Mail me at buzgoodman@aol.com to register - there only restrictions are 1) The four recruits did

Shorts are Ok but no cut-offs, no hats. Finals will require slacks or shorts and a collared shirt. It doesn't have to have a name on it. We also allow Mock-Neck shirts like the PBA allows. No T-Shirts in the finals. The brochure on the Brunswick web site shows all of this - The dress code rule is No. 16 on the list.

    ...that's all I got.
