Title: All Star Bowling Item on EBAY
Post by: thirtyclean on February 27, 2008, 11:14:14 PM
Won an auction from this website. Been trying to get a tracking # for the past few days but no response. Has anyone had the same experience. If this outfit is putting stuff on Ebay, you would think they would have the decency to at least give you a tracking #. The last time I am going to deal with this outfit !

Same issue here.  I normally don't deal with them as all attempts to contact them have taken forever to resolve.  Good luck.

Sam,
That is the same issue. Won the ball. No idea when the ball will arrive or
shipping info, nothing, even after repeated messages. Not a good way to do business !

welcome to the last 6-8months from all star bowling   every once in a while he will list a ton of items then when he doesnt make as much as he wants somehow he cant find the ball or its discontinued and cant get it anymore.  Then once they find out on here joe or lane comes on here saying sorry and it wont happen again or they had problems in the company.  Thats why no matter how good the price its not worth it.  Sorry guys ive made numerous post and more and more go to all stars defense then the same thing happens over and over again maybe someone will finally listen

To defend them, I just received a tracking #. I was just worried because I am used to seeing shipping notices right away. He could have been busy or swamped, but I just received the tracking. The price was right though !

I'm still trying to get an auction I won. 3-4 weeks ago. I'm sure it will work out but not real happy with the service.

As always the clueless have no clue, try turning off your spam filters and just maybe the tracking # will not be placed in the junk pile. If it was an ebay auction, when a label is made they automatically send tracking # for the item. The seller does not have to send one personally unless he uses other shipping methods other than ups and if i am not mistaken thats who allstar uses. The settings on your ebay account can be set for email notification maybe just maybe all of your settings are wrong. as for balls use some common sense they are the biggest proshop in ne ohio and the only better deal you can get is to steal them

 Positive 209 1115 2914
 Neutral 10 37 97
 Negative 18 45 87

I dont know I have bought several balls thru Joe either off here, ebay, or their website, and at times he has been slow to respond to email but every time I have called their number, they have been friendly and quick to fix whatever is wrong. Every business has bad and good, your not going to make EVERYONE happy!

I'm sad to say I have just been to the UPS depot to collect my 1st quality Special Agent from ASB and in the X Blem Special Agent box is a drilled Track Temper

This is the fourth ball I've bought from them and apart from a 15 10oz Fired Up (a little high on the gross weight) the others were great. I'll let you guys know what kind of response I get from them...

Surely you would at least check before shipping something across the pond???

You've got to be kidding...  You are not serious... They really did that?

Hope by now you got your item.

I have experience the same problem before and I had to file a claim after 10 days.  After that they send the stuff right the next day.  Some people I believe have to be pushed inorder to move.

I hope everything work out for you.  An update would be cool

I have the same issue going on right now.  I should have read this topic before bidding!  I won a NIB 16# Twisted Fury from them on 3/15 and immediately paid for the item thru PayPal.  Got the automatic response, "Thank you for your business, etc., etc., etc."  Today (3/24), the tracking number still has no info...in fact, UPS.com says to contact the shipper.  I have sent a few emails with no responses from them.  I have made 2 purchases with bowlingball.com SINCE I paid All-Star and have gotten both shipments already!  Even if it were actually shipped out tomorrow, it would still be Friday or Monday before I get it.  That is 2 weeks from the time I made payment!  By the way, the shipping was almost $30!  Again, I wish I would have seen this thread and wish I would have actually read their HUNDREDS of negative feedback comments about the same thing before I made the bid!  Oh, well...live and learn.  Looks like bowlingball.com will continue to get my business from now on!  I purchased a 16# Cell from them last night at 2:30am and I have already received the email that it has already shipped (and, that has been confirmed thru checking the tracking #)!

well yet again another person fighting to get what they won on ebay.   well Game_Entertainment and i still dead wrong?  I highly doubt that.  Once again they have a ton of items listed on ebay and probably they will be taken off in a few days if bids dont go their way and if they are taken off they will not send anything out on time or communicate with the winners

Beware of All Star Bowling!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All Star bowling's Ebay feedback is horrible. I saw some enticing items but I knew it was Joe and I stayed away. I work too hard for my money to gamble it on Joe.

Fpr some reason, all of there items are gone. I had a few things in my watch list that did not end for a couple days, now there is nothing. Last night they had over 125 items for sale. Anyone know what happened?

Or maybe e-bay is just tired of all the complaints themselves.

People who purchase items on e-bay and can't get their merchandise can file a claim with e-bay, not just sellers who can't collect.

I once won a ball from A.S.B. in an e-bay auction.  It was for a ball AND drilling.  Won it real cheap and sort of felt guilty.  FINALLY got hold of Joe ( after three days worth of phone calls ) to give him my drilling specs and how I wanted it set up.  I even offered to take a cheaper ball because I had won it so cheaply.

Then, after almost 10 days, the ball shows up at my house.  I never did get the tracking number for some reason ( and yes, my filters are set correctly).

Opened the box and was NOT PLEASED.  The ball was right, but the drilling was so far off that the first thing I had to do was take it to get the thumb plugged and re-drilled.  They missed it by over 1/2 inch!  At least I hadn't spent a lot on it.

I would not do business the way Joe does, and I will not do business with them again.

i ordered a ball from there a few days ago (friday it may have ended) and i was fairly pleased had a good pin in it (3.5) and its a discontinued ball i would never let anyone drill my equiptment that i dont know and can watch them do it thats just asking for trouble as far as i am concerned, and as far as i heard (i was bidding on the 16lb pryo and this is something like what ebay said to me abnout what happened with allstarbowling...) this is what they said.  They said that the guy had done something to break the rules of ebay and that they ended the auction and that is when i saw that his whole store was cleaned out i was suprised and dissapointed all at the same time i just hoped that i was going to get my ball and i did obviously and i'm happy with it i think even though i payed quite a bit for it that i still got a deal except shipping that was ridiculous like 30 bucks almost that didnt make me happy at all but oh well its here now and i'm not going to cry about it.  Its a good looking product and i'm glad that i bought it but i dont think that i would buy anything from him again, due to the fact that ebay shut his account down

To update my situation Joe contacted me and wanted to make right. After a couple of emails back and forth we came to an agreement and I am very happy. I give Joe credit for being a stand up guy and contacting me. He wanted to make thing right and he did. So I am going to delete my negative posts about ASB and I am willing to give them a try again because of the effort put forth by Joe.

Hello

If there is one thing I will say about myself is that if there is a problem
with any sort of transaction I will do what I can to make it to your
benefit as when you transact business with us you didnt do it in hopes of
a problem.   I try to do my best with it and problems have happened and have
been handled.   Thank you again for letting me make sure you were taken care
of Sam.

whats different about this post joe?  Seems like every 3-4 months we get the same response from you then everything i great for about a week or two then the same thing happens.  I have done deals with you before some were great and others very bad.  Im sorry in my opinion and to you and others on this site it may or may not be taken seriously but i think it is time to make a xhange your business ethics and then let the new reputation take the place of these posts about you making everything good.
