Title: All Star Bowling more delays

This is not my deal, but one I was asked to make a trip to Ohio and get some answers, and I may as I am only in PA.

Anyhow heres the scoop.

A mate of mine in Australia, won a couple of auctions from him about 2 weeks ago, A NIB Carbide+ and a Tsunami. He paid Joe in a timely fashion and now it has been 2 weeks and the balls are still setting in Ohio. Apparentally this is not the first such time where shipment to him has been delayed as he told me that "he's giving me the runaround again."
He has sent at least 5 or 6 emails to him asking about the order and when it is going to be shipped. NO REPLIES.

His kids ordered the Tsunami for him for his birthday on Ausust 21 and now they are not going to give their dad a gift...

I ship to him in aussi all the time and the last package that I prepaid postage online with took 5 days to get there, why has it taken this one 2 weeks and it has not left ASB???

Seems like when someone has a problem they have to come on here and rattle cages to get movement.....

Joe seems to really have an overload of work which is good for him but, what about the customers that expect timely delivery of goods?? (from what I can piece together from postings on here it seems to be a regular occurance...)

You start out with making a trip to Ohio, did you get there and what happened?

I see these threads all the time.  I have never dealt with Joe....mainly because of these threads.

My question is..........why do you folks keep entering his auctions, ball raffles, or purchase from him if this is the kind of service you get?  I don't get it.

This is not the first nor last of these threads I'd bet.

Scott because i have got over 100 balls with no issues at all, the best part is i am winning them for next to nothing since everyone is scared to bid now. I won a 15 lb hard core particle for 49.95 with shipping that showed up in my office friday, it took him 3 days to get around to actually sending it out but who cares for that price.

I have tried to call 3 times, he has tried to call at least once. No answers at all, no reply to messages left at email or on Phone line....... I know at least one guy that will be getting more business than Joe from me.

I've seen enough of these posts that I wouldn't but a ball from him unless it was priced next to nothing. I just read these posts to humor myself. I feel bad for the guys/gals who are getting such bad service but come on after I saw the first post about what was going on it was no brainer.

I am not going to come on and attempt to speak for Joe, but there are some measures being put in place which should elevate the issues and concerns some of you have had.

Also, I may take on an expanded role within the BallReviews area of service for AllStarBowling, which should only expedite the process for you here at BallReviews.

Many of you know me and have dealt with me in the past, rest assured, AllStarBowling is in the midst of some changes which will improve the quality of service and communication with each and every one of you.

Please give us a short period of time to work through any bugs in our system, I am certain you will like what we have to offer.

I would like to meet this guy in person sometime,he must be very likeable for so many to carry him when his ability to run so many businesses at once is obviously ZERO! I too am in the middle of a debacle over a qt. bottle of friggin' energizer ball cleaner since 7/29. Almost got it this week but when I checked UPS it had been destroyed in transit....OH NO!!! not another month! Yes the savings is there @ $8.00 vs. bowlingball.com for this product (incl. shipping and handling) but the agravation and phone calls that are never returned or hardly ever answered really just isn't worth it!

Lane, that is very professional of you to come on here with a response. However, that is the same thing we have been hearing from Joe for almost a year. I was one of Joe's biggest supporters for a long time. Even through most of these situations that kept arising here. Then, I started seeing these things first hand. Long shipping delays, lack of communication with his refusal to return emails and pm's. I have received emails from Joe that said I will get back to you this weekend only to have many weekends go by without communication. The bottom line is Joe's service has gone downhill and unless you get something for nothing, nobody wants to deal with that kind of service. Not worth the risk or hassle. Unfortunately, I like so many others, have also started purchasing elsewhere as have my many friends and clients.

Hello

Lane will be helping with rectifying the outstanding items that are
in flux.   He is partners with us in one of our new locations and will be
lending a hand in the online sales.    

Buzzhead, his stuff is in route to him as of the early part of the week.
Once it reaches customs it is out of my control.  There are times packages
will take 3-4 days to clear out of customs and be in route in the country
its destined to.  If needed Ill get you the tracking number for you.

Energizer 32oz cleaner is on backorder from Ebonite.  Once it arrives I will
ship it to you and refund you the cost of the product so it is No Charge to
you dynodad or i can ship you (6) 5oz Energizers and do the same thing above.
Per my conversation with them I will have the 32oz Quarts of them on Tuesday.

As stated if there is any other outstanding issues please call me personally
at 440.463.7184 and I will handle them.

Guys,

I can understand the frustration many of you may feel in regards to orders, communication, etc. Being a BallReviews member and having the opportunity to communicate, talk, as well as wheel and deal with many of you, I personally can understand and relate when you don't receive your order(s) when you should, and/or the communication wasn't proper or timely.

My goal is entering into this aspect of the business with Joe (outside of our new shop partnership) is to ensure we raise the level of commitment, quality, and awareness to the BallReviews community.

Like I said Lane, very admirable of you and I respect that as I am sure many of the users here do. however, I am pretty sure that the damage may have een already done far beyond the extent that words can resolve.

I have never dealt with allstarbowling but had come close a couple of times when I saw the complaints and stayed away.

Now, if I was in the market for an item I would give Lane and ONLY Lane a chance.  Joe has blown his reputation.

Lane .. tell you what .. one of the best things ASJ did for BR was his RAFFLES! With all the new equipment out .. now would be a good time to put them back in! Truth is it could get things going again! Something to think about!

yeah the ball raffles were gold....even if shipping upto canada was alittle bit more($15-$20) it was still well worth it if you won.

Guys,

Thanks for the input and ball raffles rates right at the top of my list. I really like the idea of getting and opportunity for new equipment, at a great price is what I always like to hear.

As we re-establish some things here, we have no other plan other than to step up to the plate and get issues here at BallReviews back in order.

sometimes,things happen which are out of their control.all i ask is an email back after i left about 12 asking if iy was leaving or not.well it finally hit melbourne today and will be delivered monday so hooray and thanks for your feedback and response joe from allstar,a reply goes a long way,we dont bite here in oz lol

I too am getting burned by ordering from this place.  I have sent 3 emails now, and 2 different phone messages, plus spoke with someone on Friday who said they would get back to me.  And NOTHING!!!!  Now when you call the mailbox is full!!!!  Does this guy know how to run a company, I wish I had ordered from Buddies now, and paid the extra for shipping.  I hope I hear something soon....

I won a ball on ebay on the August 1st and paid on the 3rd.  I still have not received the ball.  I have left 2 messages and emailed the "auctions" address on their site.  There has been no contact with me except last week Lane said he would try to help.  All my bowling buddies know about my situation and it will probably affect their purchases later.
