Won a ball from Allstarbowling on Ebay asked to have it drilled, submitted a drill sheet and paid for it in full immediately following the end of the auction. Over 4 weeks go by without delivery or responds from any of my multiple emails asking for status. I submitted a claim with PayPal and received a full refund from PayPal (*NOT AllStarBowling) after an additional 2 weeks to process the claim. I not not going to waste any more of my time on ASB describing their terrible service, and my bad experience with them. It is basically not worth my time. I hope they improve their service in the future but I will never use them again.

After this horrible ordeal I ordered a ball from BuddiesProShop on 8/27 and had them drill it. Not only did they drilled it but got it in UPS hands on 8/29th!!! I received the ball yesterday (due to the Labor day weekend) and I'm 110% satisfied will the ball and it's drilling. I can't believe how good the drill fit my hand (exactly to my drill sheet specs) considering this was my first venture at online drilling. The drill was even better than the last two local drillers did on my last two balls. I don't know how it is possible but I'm a customer for life with Buddies.

Everything about Buddies looks great.  And then I try to order.  I always, always get an error from their web server!!!!!  It's so frustrating to finally find a dealer who has good selection and prices, yet ordering fails on the web site.

In checkout I get the following error:

Microsoft VBScript runtime  error '800a0009'
Subscript out of range: '[number: 0]'
/cart.asp, line 535

Same thing on Firefox and IE browsers.

Anyone else having problems?

dumbcomputers,

Could you tell me when you won this ball and your Ebay username, so I can reference our records? Also, could you provide me with the ball type?

I am extremely curious as to how this issue could have occured and have not been caught at any stage in the ordering, drilling, and shipping process.

Thanks,
Lane

KONG .. know how you feel .. I've done monthly business with All Star Joe for the last three years and I'm completely satisfied. There's no way in the world that a business can satisfy everyone of their customers .. if they do .. they have a small customer base!

I have had a similar instance with ebay and Allstar.  I won a ball on Aug 1st and paid on Aug 3rd, which included 27.95 for shipping.  I spoke with Joe last week and he had that it had not been marked paid and that was the delay.  I too left several messages.  Joe assured me the ball would go out this past Tuesday, due to Labor day.  I still do not have the ball and I live in Ohio and only about 3 hour away.  Hopefully this will be resolved by the end of the weekend or I will too have to file complaints withe MC and Ebay.

I won a ball on eBay from All Star, paid the same day, and the ball was at my house with in 2 days....ever since Lane came on here and started posting, I wouldn't hesitate...of course it didn't hurt that I got the ball for the $9.99 starting bid

The bottom line is that there are far too many complaints against
allstar Joe.  You would do well to heed the complaints as there are
many very good web sites that are almost problem free.

Any complaint is one too many in my opinion, and we are taking care of the issues which has plagued some of you.

Our service and response times have significantly improved over the past two week, when we implemented some changes.

We pride ourselves on supplying bowling equipment at affordable prices, and this includes improving the overall service end of the company.

In the cases in which those of you having/had problems with us were in contact with me, we have resolved the pending issue(s). We still have a handful of outstanding customer issues which we are in the process of resolving.

There are no excuses here, the situation is what it is. If we do not ship on time, that is our fault. If we miss an order (which should not happen with the new system) it is our fault, same with employee and health issues, we are not here to make excuses for what has transpired, in which has created some undesirable feeling with some Ball Reviews members and/or customers.

Feel free to contact me if you are having issues with an order and I will give it my prompt and personal attention.

Thanks,
Lane
