Block Buster Bowling

I placed an order with Block Buster Bowling in California on Tues morning, 5-31. They shipped the order the same day and sent me the tracking number at the same time. Order arrived here in Oklahoma today  Sat., 6-4 as promised. I recommend Block Buster Bowling to everyone. Great people to deal with along with great service. I will definitely order from them again.

I place an order with Blockbuster Bowling on 6-30 for some vise thumb and finger tape. I specified  the red finger tape. I got the order today on 7-9.

The finger tape was blue and the tan or beige thumb tape was not vise and from some company named nichiban.

It took 9 days to get to Indiana and then it was the wrong tape.

Now what do you think of Blockbuster Bowling?

For me they are great! They furnish tracking nos. the same day you order. You should have tracked it and then you would be able to see where it got stalled.

I would be willing to bet the slow delivery was your carrier and not Blockbuster. IF you ordered on 6-30 late in the day, then your order wouldn't have gone out until the next day, 7-1. Then there was the July 4th holiday on Monday. Based on my past experience, by the carrier picking up the order on Friday and the holiday on Monday, I would bet the carrier didn't even put it on the road until Tues. July 5th. Again your tracking no would have told you that if you would have checked it. Also bear in mind that the carrier is Fed Ex and although I have had  very good and prompt deliveries from Fed Ex, a large number of people on this site have had a lot of complaints about them. Way more than UPS.

As for the tape, I can't speak on that. The best thing would be for you to contact ...... Alex about the tape at: blockbusterbowling@charter.net

They will make it right to you. I guarantee you that.

I have another order coming scheduled to be delivered next Tues. so I will be posting on it next week. I expect the results to be the same as the previous order I posted here.

What difference does the label make on the thumb tape just as long as it too works?


I have used Blockbuster myself and yes they are very good as Brickguy says.
Maybe you did not specify it correctly in your order.
If you ordered on 6/30 that means you also lost a few days shipping time due to the holiday weekend.

I don't have to explain this to anyone expecially you that cant put up a profile, but I will.

I was at the Frankie May booth at the nationals and a guy name Cecil showed me some red VISE tape and how I could get my thumb out of a really tight thumb hole. I also had a buddy while I bowled using some beige thumb tape that I am sure was from VISE.

So I placed the order for those colors to make sure I got the feel I wanted.

I did get a response from Blockbuster telling me they only get the color VISE sends them and they would give me a refund.

I told them very clearly in the order I wanted red tape and if not then cancel the order.

Is that a good enough reason?

What is with you people? Do you own stock in Blockbuster bowling? I was shown red tape at the nationals by a rep who sold the VISE brand tape. Maybe it was NOT finger tape. He put a piece on my thumb and it gave me a fast release with a very tight thumb hole. I am not used to being called a liar. I am not going to get the VISE color chart my driller showed me, showing all kinds of different colors VISE has just to prove my self right to a bunch of internet wannnabes bowlers.

I am going to respond to this since I have never been called a liar to my face. I will admit I was wrong in thinking the tape the guy at the Nationals put on my thumb was finger tape.It was the NEW TYPE of tape VISE has come out with that was red. I have been around the game a few years and have never worn tape.

I just thought it was finger tape. I have learned it was the brand new VISE thumb tape that is slicker than finger tape.

So I will admit I didn't know what product I was working with and wont put down a company till I know what I am talking about.

A man has to know his limitations.........

If  you got the item number that you ordered I do not see why you are bad mouthing someone for shipping out what you ordered.

I sent back what I ordered by their email saying If I wasn't happy they would give me a refund. I sent it priority mail. Its been 9 days and haven't seen any credit on my card or other wise. So since I was wrong in my order and got the tape from my local guy in less than 7 days, I will wait.................

I did finally get my credit card refunded and they did give me back my shipping I paid to send the stuff back. It did take longer than I thought it would, but they took care of it.

Does your dad shoot trap by any chance?
