I find it interesting that people are so quick to defend allstarbowling.  Joe is busy...UPS may be at fault.  Whatever happened to "the customer is always right"?

Based on Jan_L's previous posts, Joe never responded to any private, direct e-mails on the issue.  Then Jan_L felt the only way to get resolution was to do it publicly.  It culminates in a message here yesterday where Jan_L requests the order be cancelled and a refund issued.  Joe responds that the item has been reshipped and a $10 credit has been issued.  I suppose that is some sort of resolution, but not what the customer asked for.  I can't blame Jan_L for wanting to cancel the order and end this whole mess.

Shermdog has had an outstanding issue for the past 60 days.  It seems all that needs to be done is for him to receive his replacement ball and Joe to chase after UPS for his claim.  Shermdog shouldn't have to wait for that to be done.

Even Charles has had 2 issues in the past 60 days, yet he continues to support allstarbowling?!  If I had dealt with someone and had 2 issues in such a short time I would certainly not support them anymore.

The "Joe is busy and is taking on a lot" argument just doesn't hunt here.  If Joe is so busy that he cannot take the time to properly respond to and address customer issues, he needs to take a step back and re-evaluate his business processes.

He has drilled six balls for me.  He took the ball I most liked the feel of and molded the thumb.  He uses that mold to make the thumb slug for each ball he drills for me.  All six balls feel the same in my hand.  I have never experienced a ball driller able to do that.  He drills the ball exactly as I request him to in terms of pin placement, cg, mb, side weight, etc.  I don't care if I have to wait several extra days.  It's well worth it to have the job done right.

Who's actually had problems with Joe? I ordered 4 balls total from Joe. I only got the right specs on 1 of those. I was skeptical and due to his outstanding service Im like whatever because what I got was ok. Well after ALL this I might have to try buddies out or someone else.

Just another Update:

Janets 2nd package was shipped via UPS today: 1Z 13W 178 03 9737 361 2
** A full refund was issued for the order price so that the final total
     was $0.00.

As for Kevin, his original shipment via UPS was shipped promptly and timely.
The package went out with UPS on his route at Kevins place and went into
"Out for Delivery" status.   UPS said it was delivered.  Kevin never
received it and we had to put in for a claim.   Forms took a while to
come in the mail.  I faxed them back.   I am currently awaiting a final
decision on if they are going to pay the insured value of the package.

   Tracking #:  1Z 13W 178 03 9192 350 1

If Kevin wants, I will go ahead and just issue the refund to him before
they decide and take the chance they will deny the claim.

Why am I posting this detail?  Just so everyone can see what is going on
with these.

Thanks again
Joe

Not to jump or hijack this thread by any means but I thought I would let everyone know that I have had two transactions (bought 4 different balls) with Joe in the last two weeks and ive had nothing but smootheness.....Ive PMed him and hes got back to me within the day and I even called him twice and had a rather lengthy discussion with him on what I wanted and then called back and changed it and he still got everything to me on time.....Im not saying hes perfect as I see others might have some problems with him but i wanted to let everyone know whos been reading this that I think hes A+ in my book and Im sure he will make it right with everyone by the time its all said and done.

Thanks again guys....

Problems do come up with you do volume no matter what business you are in.
I think a tell tale sign of how good a business is to its customers is how
the problems are handled and if they are handled with fairness to the
customers concerns.   No doubt that these two posts are valid issues but
I just wanted to let everyone see I wasnt running away from the problems/
concerns and am handling them to the customers advantage, even if it is a
loss of profit.

Thanks,
Joe
