Okay so I have this $75 burning a hole through my electronic pocket. Trying to figure out what to do with it. I have new shoes coming for Christmas so don't need that.

So I find myself looking at a new ball and I'm curious to hear an opinion. I currently play in one league and also open bowl with my son. A week ago I did my first tournament. An adult junior with my son (finished in the money in 7th out of 48 teams). Technically I have four balls but two of them are drilled with a span slightly too long. They were both used so I'm not too eager to put more money in them to move span again. The other two are a hammer brick and a radical torrid affair. I've been exclusively using the TA since I had it drilled a couple weeks ago.

My initial thought based in the tournament experience was to get a step down ball. I was surprised how quickly the pattern broke down. But 5 teams per pair and we were following scratch bowlers on our pair moves. So they were ripping it up.

My goal is to really not spend much more than the $75. Would love to stick with radical but I'm not sure they have a currently marketed step down. I don't believe the torrid elite qualifies. Although bowling.com does have original Torrid. Not sure about that though. Would like to hear thoughts.

Otherwise I'm looking at one of two in that direction. C300 freeze hybrid (based on a recommendation) or DV8 misfit pearl. Any opinions?

The only other thing that has me intrigued is their cyber Monday deal for a Raptor Attack that would only cost me a couple bucks. In a way it gives me more of the same, but there are differences between it and my other two that could at least offer me a different look if one or the other isn't working out.

I'm basically medium speed medium rev. High track. Axis varies between >45 to <90

The Torrid Elite will give you more length than the Affair. They compliment each other very well. The Misfit Pearl is also a good option also.

Not sure the elite is a true step down. Perhaps a slightly lighter shade of grey. Complimentary...yeah. But not the step down I'm looking for I don't think. The original Times Up would seem to be the type of thing, but Radical doesn't seem to have such a ball at this time.

Another source I trust is not so enamored with the misfit pearl, and that is coming from a dv8 devotee. Freeze Hybrid might be an option.  I dunno.
