I've got to thank Keith Spears (corrected) at Bowlingball.com. I won an auction last night, paid for it this morning, made my request for pin and top weight and he's already shipped it to me (got the email with the UPS tracking number, by 8 PM) this evening.

Even if he wasn't able to meet my pin & top wt request, this level of service is amazing.

I know the ball which will be NIB and is first quality will be double boxed and arrive in excellent shape.

I also know what I paid will not cover his initial expense of buying the ball ...

From past experiences with this company, I have always received very short pins and never received what I requested. They also charge $25 for shipping and I stopped buying from them for those 2 reasons..

Good luck to you guys that bought from him.. I hope you have better luck than I did..

I have purchased a few balls from them, specs always as I request and they come in great shape.  The 25 dollars for shipping is fine with me as I haven't paid more than $25 for an actual ball.

It is an auction and most times the price is way below wholsale. I've gotten my choice most times. In fact when he first started, I was unhappy with what I got (didn't realize all the ramifications of an auction) and he went so far as to take back the ball I got, at his own expense and send me another model from the same manufacturer with a better pin. Now, I realize he cannot do that in the current environment.

BTW I think if the ball you bid on is in good supply, the chances are better of his having one close to what you ask for. If it's an old ball or one that's bene discontinued after being unpopular, then I've learned the odds are you are not likely to get what you want because he's clearing house.

Just don't count on that always being the case. I think he goes the extra mile, but, as he says, he can't guarantee the specs on an auction.

I don't consider anything from Ebay as a guarantee, but from my experiences I've had no problems with bowlingball.com and wouldn't hesitate to bid again if something caught my eye.

They also put me on some list where I can't bid on their stuff because I bought some wrist bands a year or so ago they had on ebay and they where peeling and I ask for a refund and they said no, so I threatened (only threatened) bad feedback and they put me on some sort of restricted list where I can't bid on their stuff. I was only asking for like a $12 refund, but they said no.. Oh well..

"Once burnt, twice shy."

But you guys should try again. I just got the ball and the specs are exactly what I asked for: 2-3" pin, 2 3/4 oz top weight.
$48 delivered to my house for NIB, 1st quality ball. Amazing.
I have no choice to give them/him very positive feedback.

Bought a Bag and other things from Bowlingball.com and was very happy with their prices. Was very surprised with how quick I received it. Ordered it late on Friday night and received it the following Tuesday. Have no complaint with them and would recommend them to anyone.
