I have ordered stuff--mostly polishes and finger inserts--from several on-line pro shops. The ones I have used are
www.blockbusterbowling.com &
www.bowlerschoice.com &
www.bowlersparadise.com. I've never had a problem with any of them--always fast and excellent service. I've always been partial to blockbuster for polishes because it seems like their selection is huge and their prices the lowest or close to it.
I need a couple polishes, and decided to order them today. I went first to blockbuster, because one of the polishes I need is the Storm Step Two polish, and I've gotten it from blockbuster before for $15.95 (might have been $16.95, not sure) for a quart. To my surprise, their price on it has shot up to $29.95! I also need some more Hook-It, so I decided to look around, and here's what I found just today:
Hook-It
Blockbuster: 25.95/qt.
Bowlingindex: 24.95/qt.
Wildoctopus: 27.65/qt.
Storm Step Two
Blockbuster: 29.95/qt.
Bowlingindex: 15.95/qt.
Wildoctopus: 19.43/qt.
I haven't used
www.bowlingindex.com or
www.wildoctopusbowling.com before, but reports on them here on this site are good, so it wasn't hard to settle on
www.bowlingindex.com for my purchase today. I've always been so satisfied with blockbuster that I wouldn't have minded if their price had been a buck or two higher on the Storm product, but damn! I know that Storm has changed the packaging on their products, but I haven't heard anything about the product itself being changed.
I know that most people who are reading this are probably savvy enough that they already check all of these sites and probably more for prices anyway. The size of some of these price differences just surprised me so much I had to mention it.
