Buddies Pro Shop-just wow
« on: January 01, 2015, 11:16:47 PM »
I have been wanting to do an IT system. I sent them a ball that was the best fitting ball I had. Provided my specs which they did verify. Bought a ball from them along with changing over to the IT on the ball that was sent. Everything was spot on!  Now to start the process of changing over my other equipment. Definitely a positive experience. Chris was awesome, excellent communication throughout. I would certainly not doubt going to them to drill new or have them work on current equipment you own. Even though they are miles and miles away, they treated me with respect and answered all questions I asked.

+1 on Buddie's. Love their prices, quick shipping, videos, and the fact that they are a real brick and mortar pro shop!

So far I have had only one ball drilled by Buddies, but I can not say enough good things about them.  I sent them my stats, along with a ball with my Turbo Switch Grip installed.  They called me to discuss my stats before drilling. They drilled the new ball I ordered perfectly.
The whole process went quickly, 4-5 days to ship them my ball (they pay & provide the shipping label), 2-3 days to drill the new ball, and 4-5 days to get both balls shipped together back to me.  On my next ball purchase, I will be going back to Buddies.

Ordered my second ball from Buddie's and I was just a little nervous because this time, because they went by my stats and specs on file. The last time they had a ball (with Switch Grip, both inner and outer installed) to go by.
Well I ordered the ball (Radical Score) Friday, 7/24.  It was drilled and shipped on Monday, 7/27 and received today 7/30.
To me that's quick service.  The ball was drilled perfectly.  These gentlemen are accurate, my switch grip fit perfectly.
I will be trying the ball tomorrow in my summer league.  If it reacts like my Reax Gusto that they drilled, I will be completely satisfied.  I have a feeling I will.

Since the time of my initial post, I've had I think 10 balls switched over and I have also bought 4 balls and I could not be any happier. I order an additional 2 IT slugs and they were just the same as the ones I got from the original 2. Got some new accessories too. Everything was also shipped quick too. I will definitely continue to do business with them.

I used to order from buddies and never had issues. Now that I found a good shop just outside of town, it's been a while since I used buddies. It takes about 7 days to get a ball drilled and shipped. Sometimes its less than that, and I'm in the west coast.

My local pro shop recently closed.  Perhaps I will look in to this as a possible solution.  Buddies is my go-to source for products and supplies, so it would make sense to just make it a "one-stop shop".  They also have a satellite pro shop in a bowling center about 70 miles away from me which is also a possibility.

My prior PS was charging $50.00 for a drilling (when purchasing the ball from him), $15.00 for the Turbo grip outer sleeve, and $10.00 for finger grips for a total of $75.00.
Buddie's charges $52.95.  That's a savings of $22.05 and then if you are able to buy a closeout ball at a great price, you save a lot of money.

And if you buy the ball at buddies don't forget to use promo code Drill20 and you'll get an extra $20 off of drilling service

Like I previously stated, I originally sent them a ball with both the outer and inner thumb switch grip.  They copied it  for future drillings.
When I ordered my next ball they drill the switch grip thumb from the measurements on file.  They drilled the switch grip thumb perfectly.  These folks know what there doing.

Xrayjay,
Wasn't aware of the coupon.  Is it always available or does it have an expiration date?

They haven't put an expiration date on them. I've used it multiple times. In fact, the last ball I got a few weeks ago I used it.
