what should I write in the special comment section ?
« on: February 05, 2006, 06:31:29 PM »
I'm going to order a ball from http://Http://Bowling.com , and I want the pin placement to be 3.8"-4" and the top weight to be 3.5oz, how should I write this in the special comment section, is it the same way I wrote in here? and is there anything else I can choose in the ball ?

I seriously doubt if any place will accept an order with those precise specifications.
Most places allow you to specify in while inch specs, as in: 2-3" or 3-4".
Mostplaces also allow a range of top weight, as in "2-3 oz.", "2.5-3.5 oz."

I email bowling.com once and they said that allthough they'll try to meet your requested specs, they will not guarantee them.

So, the answer is yes, specify them just the way you did above.

There is no vaild reason I can think of that you need to specify yor spacs in that way. You can ask for 3.5-4" pin distance; some will accept that SOLELY because some manufacturers do mark their boxes that way. Storm, Roto-Grip and Dyno-Thane sometimes do that. As far as I know, you certainly do not need to specify precisely 3.5 oz of top. But you can always ask them to meet these.
